COVID19 Testing for Any Person with Symptoms: COVID-19 testing for any individual who has symptoms of COVID-19 will be available in Union County beginning Wednesday, June 10. This drive thru testing is bei

ng provided by our local community health center, Lower Lights Christian Health Center, with assistance from the Union County Health Department. Testing will be Tuesdays from 9am-1pm and Wednesdays from Noon-4pm at the Union County Fairgrounds, 845 N. Main St, Marysville (use State Route 4 entrance). A doctor’s order is not required to receive testing. Pre-registration is recommended. Pre-registration can be done at LLCHC.org/Covid19 or by calling Lower Lights Christian Health Center at 614-274-1455, select option 1.

Lower Lights will test any individual who currently has at least one symptom of COVID-19 – OR – exposure to someone who is a confirmed or probable case of COVID-19. Screening for asymptomatic individuals who are currently or are preparing to enter a congregate living setting can also be tested. Testing is free to uninsured individuals. Insurance is accepted. This testing is diagnostic testing using a simple nasal swab. This testing is NOT recommended for well persons and this is NOT antibody testing.

This expansion in local testing follows last week’s announcment by Governor DeWine to expand testing and utilize Ohio’s Federally Qualified Health Centers. This expansion in testing is in addition to our on-going targeted testing partnership for high risk individuals with Memorial Health.

Re-openings: Governor DeWine announced Friday afternoon that amusement parks, water parks, racinos and casinos can reopen on June 19. Over the weekend, Director Acton also opened congregate areas at bars and restaurants to allow for billiards, cards, arcade games, dancing and, entertainment effective immediately. Governor DeWine has also approved the July Memorial Golf Tournament in Dublin. Reminder, playgrounds, zoos and many other recreation and entertainment venues can reopen with safety precautions on June 10.
