Testing Update: During the first 3 drive thru testing events held over the past week in Union County, 69 individuals were tested. Testing is Tuesdays mornings and Wednesday afternoons at the Union County Fairgrounds (Route 4 entrance). Testing is available to anyone who wants it, but recommended for individuals with symptoms of COVID-19, individuals with exposure to a known case of COVID-19, and individuals preparing to enter a congregate living setting. Testing is free to uninsured individuals and covered by most insurances. A doctor’s order is not required for testing. The test is a diagnostic test, NOT an antibody test, and consists of a nasal swab within the nostril. Results are typically provided within 2-3 business days. Testing is provided by Lower Lights Christian Health Center in partnership with the Union County Health Department. Registration is preferred and can be done online or by calling (614) 274-1455 (select option 1).
Can you provide information on where these cases are located? I have my theories I would like to confirm or not.
Thanks
At this time, we are not releasing location data in order to ensure the personal health information of individuals is protected as is required by law. In some areas of our county, releasing information by village or municipality could be used to identify the individual. We discuss the release of geographic data regularly and are working to determine a case threshold or process that would ensure compliance with Protected Health Information laws. Thank you.
