Stay Safe Ohio Order: Today, we are working through the details of the Director’s Stay Safe Ohio order which was released late last night. This new order encourages us all to use caution, practice social distancing, and stay home when we can, but does start to reopen Ohio businesses. The new Stay Safe Ohio order allows for retail businesses who were previously closed to reopen for carryout, curbside or by appointment only services starting tomorrow (May 2). These businesses must meet the mandatory safe practices required for retail businesses. The Union County Health Department continues to provide guidance for employers, employees, and customers as many businesses prepare to open. See the full order here.

Testing Update: The Union County Health Department and Memorial Health have worked to expand testing capacity within Union County in partnership with the Ohio Department of Health. In Union County, testing for ODH & CDC priority 1, 2 and 2a groups are being done. A physician’s order and alignment with this priority criteria is required to be considered for testing at this time. To the best of our knowledge, antibody testing is not occurring within Union County. Timelines for antibody testing at local levels have not been released.
